Mary Axon Fine Art provide a comprehensive and professional valuation service, acting as an intermediary between buyers, vendors, auction houses and other institutions and providing 3 9QGvaluations for insurance purposes and legal purposes such as probate. To provide these services we hold and process personal data.

The information we collect and hold is provided directly by you, via telephone, email, letter or with your permission through a third party with whom you have a contract, such as a solicitor.

Why do Mary Axon Fine Art Hold and Process Your Personal Information?

In order to provide the service you have subscribed to we hold and process personal data which has been supplied by you or with your permission by a third party acting on your behalf.   

This data helps us to perform our contract with you, for example enabling you to buy or sell lots through an auction house. We hold your data because it also forms part of our mutual legitimate interests, for instance allowing us to provide you with formal valuation records for insurance or legal purposes or to keep you informed about our valuation services and events.  As part of this on going relationship we may occasionally contact you by email, letter or telephone  unless you advise us that you no longer wish to receive information from us, which you can do at any time.

In the case of valuation documents or items submitted for sale we may also hold descriptions and estimated values of property/collections that you own.

We do not hold payment information with any of your personal details. Payments are processed by a secure third party provider, such as a bank.

In order to deliver the services you have subscribed to we share your personal information with trusted third party service providers to our company or service providers who you have permitted to work on your behalf.

• Any auction house who has been contracted by us to provide a service on your behalf
• On certain occasions insurers or legal representatives for our mutual legitimate interests or for legal reasons

We do not sell your information to anyone else or share your information with anyone other than the third party providers who help us deliver the services you have requested or contracted us to perform.

What Are Cookies?

We do use Cookies on our website but the data collected on all pages (except the contact form which forms part of our mutual legitimate interests) does not allow us to personally identify users.
 

This information is not gathered from your disk or computer but via the browser and in our case we used SSL protocols when collecting visitor information, so it cannot be viewed by other parties unless they have been contracted by us to provide a service.

We do contract with third-party service providers, to assist us in better understanding how visitors use our website. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

How Do We Protect Your Information?

Security and confidentially are important to our clients and to us and we employ data protection by design and by default.  We use SSL protocols on our website, a password protected database management system. We are not complacent and continuously monitor and review digital security.

It is our responsibility to ensure that we have procedures in place to identify data breaches swiftly and efficiently and that we report any breaches to the ICO within a 72 hour period.

Third Party Security

We choose our third party service providers carefully and on the basis that they take privacy seriously. We take responsible steps to ascertain what data security measures they have in place but we cannot guarantee their privacy policy.
